Noise induced hearing loss makes up over 1/3 of all hearing loss in Australia, and is the cumulative result of all the excess noise we've been exposed to over our lifetime. Some noises can cause acoustic trauma and permanent hearing loss in an instant, while other forms of noise exposure can lead to a gradual build up of damage over time, leading to difficulty hearing, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), or both. If you have a noisy hobby, such as shooting, playing an instrument, gardening/DIY with powertools, or motorsports, if you work in noise, or if you need custom made earplugs for sleep or swimming, let us take care of you. We pride ourselves in our line of solid, and mesh and membrane, acoustically filtered, custom earplugs, manufactured by us under our Swishear by BEJA brand. We offer a range of design options and colours not available anywhere else, because we control every step of the production process. During the appointment we will discuss your earplug needs, including use application, personalisation, accessories and colour, before performing otoscopy and taking an impression of your ears. This impression will be digitally scanned and modelled in 3D, printed in biocompatible otoplastic resin before a multi-stage finishing process to create your unique set of earplugs. You'll also receive a hearing test to establish a baseline in your hearing and help monitor the effectiveness of your earplugs for years to come.
